There are five tulips, which means enough in Chinese numerology. Tulip is the national flower of Turkey. The wattle above is the national flower of Australia, but is shaped in the words Hos(h) Geldin, which is the Turkish word welcome. As it was drawn for a Turkish friend making his life in Australia and therefore the painting was meant to represent that friend belonging to both countries.
