The horse is the main feature running carefree from the desert into more fertile lands on the right of the painting. Hence this is why the group is orange to the left and green to the left. On the left there is the Australian wattle (the national flower) . It has 24 buds, which via Chinese numerology is prosperity, which 2+4 = 6. It also had eight leaves that mean prosperity and luck. There is also a gold fish to the right enjoying the pond, which also signifies luck. On the top left there is a sun rising, which means the owner is in the ascendency in life and to the top right there is a blossoming peony rose, which was China’s national flower. The blossoming of this flower is also meant to signify blossoming in the owner’s life.
