This painting was done for a student of mine, who was from inner Mongolia. Therefore, it had a Mongolian theme to it. The setting is in the beautiful steps of Inner and current Mongolia. The two prominent flowers are the Edelweiss (Leontopodium ochroleucum) and Gentian (Gentiana). The rabbit is living in a yurt, however, it has got red and good leaf patterns inside the yurt, which means prosperity and luck for Chinese people. However, it also signifies that good things are hidden inside something looking quite ordinary. The river running through the steps is meant to mean revitalisation and the rising sun is meant to mean emerging opportunities.
